Darzul started the truck, and drove out of the parking lot, heading to the southwest edge, by the warehouses near the Thoncir docks.
"You're holding a Reyone Carbine," Darzul told Mesozoic as he looked at the gun, driving almost as if the car was driving itself, just obeying his commands.
".388 caliber. At close range it can blow a man's chest out his back. Thirty-round banana clip. It's set to single shot," he said, flicking a switch, "then semi-auto, 3-round burst, full auto," showing Mesozoic the places on the switch. "Safety's on," he said, pushing a different switch as he avoided a swerving car without looking, "and now it's off," he said, pushing it the other way.
He finally turned his eyes to the road again. "We're going to get 500 of these, and 300 sets of body armor. There should be one guy, with a key. Any more, and you get ready to point that damn thing at what you don't want to live anymore."

[glow=white,5,600]A four winged creature slowly limped through town. He was able to breathe, but not without excrutiating pain. There were bulltes lodged in plased they aught not be, and the blades of knives that had broken off since entering. It had been a pretty grueling battle, but in the end the other guy ended up looking much worse.
Ark. I don't know if you can hear me right now, or if you're still asleep. But you owe me. And I mean big time. I just hope you didn't make any other enemies that are that hellbent on killing you.
Coryn saw a group of people walking out of a local pub. They seemed pretty beat up as well, but not quite to the same degree. The group glared at him as he passed by, almost as if they wanted to beat a dead horse. They kept walking, however, letting him keep on his way to what he hoped was a hospital. It would have been nice if things stayed that way. A rock, assumedly thrown by one of the men, slammed against the back of Coryn's head, adding the the excrutiating pain. The sensational overload was too much for his body to handle, and it forced him to feel nothing, by passing him out in front of the pub's door.[/glow]

Darzul pulled out of the parking lot and turned west, driving past the pub door. He checked his mirror, and saw a guy beat half to death laying at the door.
Tires squealed as he looked at the man. "Meso, gimme a hand!" he said, putting the truck in park. "We gotta get him to a doctor!" Darzul ran to the door to help pick the guy up, and saw his wings. "Look at that," Darzul said, anger in his voice. "Another guy that's a little different, beat to hell. This is what we've gotta stop, Mesozoic," Darzul said, picking up Coryn.
Darzul looked at the guy he was carrying."Something about this guy is really familiar," he said as he brought him toward the truck. "Open the back," he told Mesozoic. "He'll need room for his wings."

Mesozoic hopped out of the truch and opened the back of the truck lending a helping hand to get the man into the bed of the truck

[glow=white,5,600]Coryn mumbled a few things while being loaded into the truck. None of it really meant anything in particular. His eyes showed him very blurred lights and shadows, and his ears bore too much reverberation for one sound to be made out.[/glow]

Darzul sighed. "Damn it," he said, kicking the ground as he climbed out of the truck. "We've gotta get this guy some help now," he said, looking at the sky. The sun was just starting to set. "But if I'm not at that warehouse by dark, all that money is gone and we don't even have our guns or body armor."
He looked in the truck, a steely look of focus on his face. "Meso, try and hold him in place without bruising him up too badly. I'm gonna be a little...creative in my driving so we can get to the hospital and still make it to the rendezvous point."
Darzul then closed the gate, jumped back into the cab, and put the truck in gear, stomping on the accelerator. Tires squealed and smoke billowed from the back tires as Darzul turned to open the window leading to the back of the truck.
"If anything goes to hell, give me a holler," he shouted over the shriek of rubber as the truck peeled out and headed toward the nearest hospital.
