[glow=gray,50,300]A small beeping rang out from somewhere on the metal beast. Preoccupied, he chose to ignore it. That was, until his vision was obstructed by a green holoscreen. Apparently the message couldn't just wait until he had this kid's arms. There was an urgent order from headquarters, given to him, as he was the only one on the plane at the moment, who didn't already have a mission. He was requested to check out a slight disturbance some ways away. Normally, he wouldn't even be bothered with just one, seemingly random plane transfer. However, given the circumstances they were in, they couldn't just let it go under the radar. Gyro, however, didn't care much. He didn't take orders, unless given by X himself.
Suddenly, he was flying backward, having suffered some sort of impact of great magnitude. The mass of metal and insanity screamed toward one of the stadium walls, and proceeded to crash through it, landing some distance outside the arena. Dazed slightly, the heap stood slowly, digging itself out of the ditch that had been dug with its skidding mass. There were a few scratches, but no real damage. Gyro looked back through the hole he'd made, toward the stubborn child.
"Don't you know it's not nice to hit people when they're on the phone?" Of course, the target of his question was out of earshot, but that didn't stop him from speaking. "Kids these days. No one ever teaches them how to share. Well, he won't be making friends with me, that's for damn certain." His annoyed grumblings finished, the robot turned, and left the scene. He wasn't about to work for something so trivial. If the boy wanted them that badly, fine, he could keep them. Gyro was bored with him, anyway. Sliding his optical blades back into place, he continued walking. Part of him wondered what other wonderful toys lay on this world.[/glow]
