[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus emerged from the portal Bruno had opened, and found himself standing outside the doors of the Forge.
He flicked his hand nonchalantly at the doors, and as they opened he looked down at his chest. The last of the damage imparted by that cannon was just now healing as he sat down within the Forge.[/glow]

Taelyrn squinted as he came through the portal, his eyes adjusting to the Etrahn morning sunlight. He was still frustrated, but the sight of a new dawn over a familiar landscape did much to lighten his mood, not to mention completely heal what remained of his wounds from the particle beam.
Taelyrn turned and walked into the Forge, finding a seat against the wall. Now, they'd wait, and pray that Bruno had stayed true to his word, and that the others had not only survived, but had accepted the escape when it was offered.

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus emerged from the portal outside the Forge, and noticed Cryodivus and Taelyrn within.
He walked in and joined them, sighing. "Good to see you both safely returned," he said.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis followed Pyrodeus through the portal, Viviana accompanying him. The pair entered the Forge, and saw the three Warrior Angels already gathered inside. Visignis brought Viviana to the table, and leaned against a nearby wall.[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana smiled as Visignis walked her to the table, and she promptly lay down upon it, sighing with contentment.
"It is so good to be home," she said, lacing her fingers together and setting them behind her head.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus looked around at the others in the Forge, and spoke up first.
"Cryodivus, Taelyrn, before the portal opened near us we were briefly locked in combat with a robot of sorts. He mentioned that the girl would be returned to us unharmed."
He paused briefly before voicing the question the others must have considered. "Can we trust them?"[/glow]

Taelyrn looked up with relief as the others arrived. When Bruno had mentioned that they were fighting another agent, he;d made it sound as though the other one, Gyro he'd called him, might not let them go. It was oddly reassuring to know that Bruno had things at least somewhat under his control.
At Pyrodeus' question, however, his relief faded. After a brief moment, in which no one seemed to know how to answer, Taelyrn replied, "I don't see that we have much choice. Cryodivus and I were both injured when that man-mountain offered to not only let us go, but to return the girl. If we'd kept going, they could have moved her or killed her before we ever got close."
Dropping his head into his hands, Taelyrn ran his fingers through his hair before looking up again. Looking around the room, Taelyrn couldn't help but smile at Viviana's relaxed posture. Glancing back to Pyrodeus, he continued. "All things considered, this was the best choice. We all survive, all in one piece, we get the girl, alive and unharmed. Assuming he's smart enough to keep his promises, that is."

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus looked at Taelyrn and nodded. "He will," Cryodivus replied. "We were all given the same promise."
"And the man's not an idiot. He has to know we will launch another offensive if he doesn't keep his word, and considering what damage Taelyrn and I managed to do even when separated from you three," Cryodivus continued as he looked toward Pyrodeus, Visignis and Viviana, "if we avoid being separated it would likely be too great a loss to justify continued detainment."
Cryodivus allowed himself a thin smile. "The man is obviously a capable warrior, but at heart he's an administrator. We may not have fought him to the breaking point, but we did manage to fight him to the point of diminishing returns."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus chuckled at Cryodivus' pragmatic appraisal of the situation."In that case, Taelyrn is right. All we can do is wait."
He looked at Cryodivus. "We can return to our work repairing Heaven," he said, "until she is returned and we're needed here." He then looked at Taelyrn. "But even when she is brought back, you'll be responsible for the majority of her training and instruction. As such, I'm asking that you be the one to keep a vigil at the Forge. This is where we wound up, in all likelihood this is where they'll bring her."[/glow]

Taelyrn nodded at Pyrodeus' request. Honestly, he didn't have anything else to involve himself with, and he'd have spent his time constantly checking back at the Forge anyway. This just meant he'd be doing so at the request of the Forge's master, instead of annoying the piss out of the elder Angel with his constant visits.
"No problem. I could use the practice with infrared conversion anyway, and there are few better places to do so than here. I'll try and keep tabs on her via meditation. When they bring her back, I'll make sure she's in one piece, and then I'll come find you."
Just talking about it, Taelyrn felt more hope than he'd allowed himself in the last several hours on Haven. Something about having a solid plan helped to bring him the rest of the way out of the funk he'd been in since the IDPD had taken the girl. Now, it seemed that they'd all benefit from this plan, including (unfortunately) Bruno and his organization.
As he thought this, however, he glanced at Visignis and Viviana, who'd remained quiet since they'd started discussing their plans. As he looked at Viviana, though, he couldn't fault them for it. Despite the metallic cloak she wore, likely a creation of Pyrodeus', she certainly looked a bit worse-for-wear.
"What about the two of you? Any plans during whatever peace we have?"

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana didn't respond to Taelyrn's question; she had never heard it. She had barely been able to utter her single sentence before falling into a deep and peaceful sleep.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis looked at Taelyrn. "Any plans?" he repeated.
He then looked at Viviana, calm and restful in her slumber. She almost seemed to glow, and for a moment he was taken aback by her beauty. "My plans are to rest, Taelyrn. Sooner or later we're gonna have to deal with those IDPD guys, or an outbreak of demons, or something else terrible."
He looked up, back at Taelyrn. "So until then, my plans are to do as little as possible for as long as time permits."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus smiled. "In that case, let us angels return to our work, and leave the couple to their 'plan' of lazy days."
He looked at Visignis. "I trust you would like a ride back to your home?"[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis nodded. "It is kind of a long walk," he said. "And I don't really want to fly, because I'm afraid it would wake her up," he said as he walked toward Viviana, prepared to carry her out of the Forge.[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana scarcely stirred as Visignis picked her up, holding her in his arms. However, once he held her, Viviana's own exhaustion left her head dangling backward, and her with no ambition of moving herself around.
"Honey, mind my head," she mumbled sleepily. "Use that hand."[/glow]
