[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus appeared on the porch outside Visignis' front door, Visignis and Viviana in tow. He looked at the door which the intruder had simply strolled through.
"No wonder he was able to smash through this so easily," Pyrodeus said, looking at what remained of the door. "Look at the core. All the metal between the chunks of wood has rusted almost down to powder."
He turned and looked at Visignis. "Of course, 50 years of wear and tear on metal not infused with any magic will do that."[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis smiled at what remained of the door. "That door has been smashed down more times than I can count," Visignis said.
"Even 50 years ago, maybe a year after I rebuilt it, it still got knocked down," he said, looking at Viviana wearing a sly smile. "By one person."
After looking at Viviana for a moment more, Visignis snapped back to reality. "What we really have to do," he said as he looked at the doorway, "is strengthen the hinges and the door frame. The door itself isn't a problem, it's usually in good shape when it flies off the doorjamb."[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana returned Visignis' gaze, smiling. Fifty years ago it had been hard to be mad at him when she was trying to kill him. Fifty years later, same old Visignis. She couldn't have disliked him if she tried.
She heard Visignis' idea about reinforcing the hinges, and had an idea of her own. "What about a sliding door?" she asked. She walked toward the doorway, and looked at the wall. "Sure, the walls are plenty thick enough," she said. "Two doors like this, that way even when they're closed they still sit halfway into the wall. Put them on runners, set into the stone floor. If you could put a lock on them that stopped them from being pulled open, anyone who wanted in would have to be strong enough to take down a huge section of the wall."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus nodded. "I'm impressed," he said. "That's good thinking. I'll just take this bad boy to the Forge and get started."
He looked at the mansion. "Of course, there's no front door right now. Can you two hold down the fort until I get back?"[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]"Actually," Visignis chimed in, "I'd like to tag along to the Forge. That is, if you don't mind keeping an eye on the place solo, Viviana," he added, his gaze falling on her.[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana smiled slyly at Visignis. "So I come up with all the good ideas, and I still get stuck with watchdog duty?" she asked.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis grinned back at Viviana. "Yeah, pretty much," he said. "You're more than strong enough to fight off that one unit," Visignis told her. "You're the total package. Smart, strong, pretty."
"And, my father and I will be back in a few minutes," Visignis added after a short moment where the two of them had simply locked eyes. "He's good. This won't take long."[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana blushed slightly at the compliment, but said nothing for a time.
"Well, you two hurry up," she said. "And be careful," she told Visignis, taking hold of his right hand. "Don't want the other one to end up like this," she said, looking up at him and smiling.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus placed a hand on Visignis' shoulder. "Let's go," he said. "I'm sure there's a lot more work to be done."[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis' initial panic at Viviana taking his burning hand quickly melted to joyful relief. He had been worried she would burn herself, but unless he desired otherwise it seemed the hand functioned almost perfectly like the one he had lost.
He looked down into Viviana's eyes, lost in the moment until he felt Pyrodeus' hand on his shoulder and heard his words.
"Alright," he said, letting go of Viviana. "Let's head out, father."[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana sighed as she sat down near the front door, which was really more of a front hole in the wall right now.
"Let the boys have their little man talk," she said, smiling thinly as she checked the clips on her pistols.[/glow]

*A portal opened inside the house about ten feet from the door and about six feet off the ground. A middle aged Japanese man fell from it, landing on his tail bone. He swore loudly in Japanese. the portal closed and it appeared as though a stick dropped out at the last possible millisecond, landing on the mans head. Tatsuyo rubbed his head and grabbed the stick, standing slowly.*

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana jumped at the loud thunk inside the house. "Damn it, I knew it," she muttered, ducking behind the door to avoid being seen from inside.
A thought then crept into her head. What if there were more than one of the robots? Visignis was gone. What if she missed what might have been her only chance to say what she should have said before the fight with Alginax?
She shook her head. Visignis would be proud that she had fought to the last. She pivoted into the doorway, guns drawn, and drew a bead on...a man in a suit, holding a stick.
"You're not a robot," she said, lowering her guns slightly. She then raised them again. "How the hell did you get in here?"[/glow]

*Tatsuyo took a large step back at the sight of the guns. he was startled and his english was not that good. He thought hard for a moment trying to interpret what he heard as a question*
"No robots! no robots!"
*After a short moment he gathered his thoughts. It had been the stick. He had read one of the words on the list and the stick had shocked him, fell on the floor, and made a hole. He fell through said hole and landed here. Now to communicate this to the woman with the gun. Unfortunatly the words could not be found, so instead he held the stick out in front of him and said only one word.*
"This."
