Roland's eyes widened as he saw the glowing red hand shooting towards him. He tried to fall backwards, evading the grasp that would have encircled his throat, but wound up getting caught by the shirt collar instead. He could feel the heat radiating off the hand, and he could almost swear it was growing hotter.
He released the baton, the shocks ceasing as his hand left the trigger mechanism.

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis felt his hand grab purchase, but it felt like a shirt collar instead of a throat. Visignis was satisfied with that, and pulled the shirt collar back through the window, hoping its wearer would accompany it.[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana felt the shocks stop, but also felt pain seep into her nerves now that the electricity left.
"Holy shit," she groaned quietly, rolling over onto her stomach and struggling to rise to her feet.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus stopped his work putting the doors into the wall. He turned and saw Visignis' hand stretched out, and Viviana face down on the floor struggling to get up.
The left door installed, Pyrodeus let the right one fall to the floor, his sword appearing in his hand, and ran out of the foyer and entered the room.[/glow]

Roland's hand dropped down to his belt, grabbing one of his bio-EMP grenades as the hand began to retract. He cursed silently. One of the side effects of making clothing shock-proof, was that it had to be damn near impossible to tear. He flew through the window, clearing the rest of the glass out of the frame as he went.
Once inside, the hand brought him closer to its owner, while Roland held tightly onto the EMP. His thumb found the safety, and clicked it off, depressing the trigger so that it would go off as soon as the pressure was relieved.

SCRAP watched Roland's attack, recording it's effectiveness. Then, a hand shot through the window, trying, and failing, to choke the human. It took only a moment for the machine to recognize the hand attached to Roland's collar. However, by the time it had chosen a course of action, the human was already through the window.
Re-assessing the options available, the machine ran through the space the human had recently occupied, heading for the door. A high-pitched whine could be heard as it primed its weapon systems, holding one hand at the ready, in case it met with resistance.

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis' artificial foream clicked together once more, and he held the attacker at eye level by the collar, his feet dangling beneath him with about 6 inches ofclearance.
"You just broke into my house and tazed Viviana," he said, drawing a revolver with his free hand and holding it underneath the strange man's chin. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't paint my ceiling with your brain," he demanded, pulling back the hammer with an ominous click.[/glow]

[glow=white,1,500]Taelyrn's sword was in his hand in an instant, and he ran past Pyrodeus as the God of Fire ran inside. He'd seen Viviana collapse, but hadn't connected it to an attack until Visignis reached out the window. While Pyrodeus ran into the room to help his son deal with the attacker, Taelyrn dashed outside, in case the man had had any help.
Stepping outside, he stopped almost immediately. Before him, a tall, lanky, silvery machine stood, its right hand held out in front of it. He took a defensive stance, holding the sword before him with both hands. His wings flew out from under his cloak, spreading wide behind him, hopefully making himself more intimidating.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus ran into the room, pointing his sword at the silvery creature as he helped Viviana to her feet.
He glanced at the man in Visignis' grasp, but he seemed to have that one under control. He then saw Taelyrn squaring off against the silver humanoid, and helped move Viviana out of harm's way until she recovered.[/glow]

Roland looked his attacker in the eye, smiling slightly. Whether the Courier knew it or not, he had the upper hand. At least, until the gun came out. Then he got a little nervous. However, he never backed down. He ran, yes, but he didn't back down from a challenge.
"Because if you kill me, you and your female lose your...abnormalities. What happened to her is temporary. In a few minutes, she'll be good as new. But in my hand, I hold a bomb that can make it permanent. For both of you, at least, if not your bigger, more fiery friend over there," he said, lying about the permanency. Whether he left this fight the winner or loser, he intended to leave it alive.
"So here's the deal, Courier. You put me down, and let me go. In return, I let you, your female, and your muscle keep your...mutations. God knows why, but your kind always seems to be rather attached to those."

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis was somewhat taken aback by this threat. Could this guy really rob someone of their powers? Either way, Visignis looked at Viviana. She was standing now, by Pyrodeus, and she looked alright.
"Alright, she looks fine," Visignis told Roland. "Now leave. And don't let the window hit you in the ass on the way out," he said, extending his hand out the window once more with his grip still tight around Roland's collar.[/glow]

Roland sighed with relief as he was sent through the window. He reached down, grabbing the baton by the cable as he went. Throwing the handle up to himself, he caught it and retracted the harpoon.
Clicking the safety back on the bomb, Roland placed both the baton and the grenade back on his belt. As soon as the hand released him, he'd be out of there, and fast. He'd be back, for certain, but he'd have to re-evaluate his strategy first...

SCRAP stopped in front of the white-haired being. No record of such an individual existed in his databanks, however, if this being was an associate of Visignis, it might prove to be a distraction later on. While his sensors registered Roland's exit out the window, the machine remained. This was no longer an attack mission: it was reconnaissance.
"STAND DOWN, UNIDENTIFIED LIFEFORM. I MEAN YOU NO HARM. I HAVE BEEN PROGRAMMED TO DESTROY THE BEING CALLED VISIGNIS. IF YOU IMPEDE MY PROGRESS TOWARDS THE FULFILLMENT OF MY PROGRAM, YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED AN OBSTACLE. ONE IN NEED OF REMOVAL."
The high-pitched whine intensified, and SCRAP's 'eyes' narrowed, scanning up and down the white-haired being, recording its reaction.

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis let go of the invader, and brought his hand back into the window.
"I promise you we haven't seen the last of him," Visignis said to Pyrodeus before turning his gaze upon SCRAP. "This looks a lot like the robot that attacked me before," he said to Taelyrn, pointing his revolver at the robot.[/glow]
