[glow=red,2,500]In a blast of flame, Pyrodeus appeared in Heaven, just within the Gates.
He looked around and saw what had become of Heaven. He hadn't been back since the original break had brought him to Etrah. It had been entirely laid to waste, one of the Gates still hanging from one hinge. A platoon of Guardians of the Gate stood where the gate should go, preventing the unworthy souls from entering.
The walls themselves still were crumbling in a few places, but the golden rods of rebar had held, keeping the holes too small for anyone to enter.
The holes in the floor of Heaven still remained, gaping entryways to Etrah. Pyrodeus was thankful they didn't send those unfortunate enough to fall through into the Non-Plane, but looking at a broken Heaven still saddened Pyrodeus greatly.
He noticed that several of the largest holes had been sealed with a thick layer of ice. He smiled, knowing Cryodivus was doing everything he could to repair Heaven's wounds until the plane gathered enough strength to repair itself.
"At least he's keeping himself busy," Pyrodeus said to no one in particular. He then flew toward the gate, his smithing hammer in his hand.
"Push everyone back a few feet, men," Pyrodeus told the Guardians, tapping each one's armor with his hammer to give the angels a strength boost. He then pulled the Gate back to its original position, striking the pin of the bottom hinge with his hammer with all his might. The hammer blow shot a new pin into the broken hinge, repairing the hings on the Gate to about half their original strength.
"I'll be back to finish the repairs later, but that should hold for now," Pyrodeus told th Guardians as he took to the sky, looking through Heaven to try and find Cryodivus.[/glow]

[glow=Blue,2,500]Cryodivus stood before the Sacred Altar of Divine Power, where Pyrodeus and he had once become gods. It had broken, much like the rest of Heaven. Cryodivus contemplated his next move.
Heaven would invariably repair the Altar in time, but it was in no way functional now. Cryodivus thought about Tresdos and his abuse of the Altar's power, and was unsure whether he wanted to speed up that self-repair process. Another thought then crept into his head: perhaps he didn't even want the Altar rebuilt. Tresdos had been stopped, sure, but Cryodivus had been fortunate enough to possess his weakness. The next demigod to walk away from the Altar might not be so easy to destroy.
One infallible God and two demigods are all the universe needs, Cryodivus thought to himself, his sword appearing in his hand. He slashed through the remains of the Altar, carving it to pieces. The damage would take eons to repair autonomously, and even Pyrodeus could never build another Altar, only repair this one. And Cryodivus doubted very much that he would do so.
No sooner did Pyrodeus enter his thoughts than he saw the God of Fire flying overhead, a trail of fire behind him. Cryodivus fired an ice ball into the air in the hopes that he might attract Pyrodeus' attention.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus continued to observe Heaven from above, when a ball of ice flew into the air near the Sacred Altar of Divine Power.
"Oh no, what's going on there?" Pyrodeus asked himself aloud, picking up speed as he soared toward the Altar.
He sighed with relief when he saw the Altar had been torn asunder, a pile of rubble surrounded by torches.
"At first I thought another had finished Magres X," Pyrodeus said. "It's a shame that holy artifact was destroyed in the break. I am relieved nobody can use it against us, though," he admitted.
"Old friend, there's a lot we need to discuss. First and foremost, Visignis has made a request of you."[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus nodded. "Of course," he said. "Anything I can do to help him. But I'm curious, what does he need from me that you couldn't already do?"[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus smiled. "Because the best man can't perform the ceremony," he said. "Visignis is getting married. To a girl named Viviana. She's a nephilim, but she's a good kid."
"Anyway, Visignis was hoping you could be the one to marry them. I told him I'd ask you. What do you say?"[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus smiled brightly. "Visignis is getting married?" he said, stunned happiness in his voice. "And to Viviana. I know her, by the way. Visignis fought with her to help exterminate nephilim before they fought Alginax. I spoke to her in a meditative trance. You're right, she's a nice girl. She'll be good for him, she's one quarter angel."
He then paused. "Tell him I'd be honored and privileged to perform the ceremony."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus smiled. "He'll be thrilled. And make sure to do the ceremony in English, Viviana doesn't speak angelic and I don't know for sure of Visignis ever learned it, either."
His face then became more serious, and he looked slightly puzzled. "Who's Alginax?"[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,500]"We'll talk about him later," Cryodivus replied sharply. He then seemed to calm down a bit. "You said there was a lot to discuss. What else has happened?"[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]"No, he's not in Heaven. In fact, he's in Thoncir, taking Viviana shopping for stuff for her wedding." A mischevious grin crept onto Pyrodeus' face. "He will be at the wedding, Cryodivus. So I don't want to ruin the surprise until then."[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus looked confused. "What do you mean, surprise?" He then dismissed it, deciding to wait and find out what Pyrodeus was talking about at the wedding.
"There's still a lot of work to be done here, Pyrodeus. I'll perform the ceremony, but I'm returning to Heaven as soon as it's finished. Actually, I was hoping you and that hammer would come to Heaven for a while and help me. Even between the two of us it won't be perfect, but we can repair the physical damage with ice and metal. If we do it right, Heaven should be back to its original strength within a year."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus nodded. "Of course, old friend. I'll come and help for as long as I can. But first, my son is about to get married and there's still a lot to do on Etrah. I've repaired the Gates, and the pandemonium should slow nearly to a halt. Also, the Guardians will be free to help you until I return."[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus looked slightly miffed, but still sated. "Very well," he said. "I'll keep on working to fix this until I'm needed for the wedding. With a few more helping hands, I think I can get almost all of the walls repaired by the time everything else is ready."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus smiled. "Perfect," he said. "The ceremony is gonna be small, so it shouldn't take very long to plan. Once it's finished, I'll return and help repair Heaven until I'm needed on Etrah again."
With that, Pyrodeus burst into flame, and disappeared.[/glow]
