For a terrifying moment, the ceiling resisted, and Taelyrn feared he'd be stuck, drained of his energy, in a room with not only that massive man below, but the strange beast he'd released. Then, with a sudden rush, the material gave in, and almost before he realized it, he was through into a square metal chamber, featureless walls on all sides.
Feeling drained, Taelyrn slowed back down, dim light from below coming up into the room he'd entered. Looking down, he glimpsed the blocks of debris from the ceiling disappearing into portals. Then, a mechanical whine reached his ears as what he could only guess were cannons appeared on the huge man's forearms, one of them pointed up at himself.
For a split-second, he considered pressing himself against one of the walls, hiding himself until he could come up with something better. However, a bestial snarling from below reminded him that there were other threats to be dealt with, threats that were far less patient than the gorilla of a man below had professed to be.
Flying fast out of the hole he'd created, Taelyrn flew close to the walls of the massive round room, keeping his eyes peeled for any sight of the beast.
Finally he saw the thing blink into existence in the middle of the room, panting heavily with a bloody wound on its shoulder. Cryodivus (or the demigod's doppelganger, he couldn't tell which) was firing a spread of shards at the beast, and when he saw the other demigod (this one with a bloodied sword, which made it the real Cryodivus), he guessed they could handle themselves. Which left himself and the monstrous man below, some kind of cannons at the ready.
With a hard swallow, Taelyrn gripped his sword tightly as he circled the room once more, as fast as he dared, his motions nearly a blur to those standing below. Then, his circuit complete, he broke away from the wall into a straight dive, his sword poised for a downward strike at the only opening he could see: the nameless man's unarmored head.

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus barely saw the beast teleport before it was no longer an impromptu sheath for his blade.
The creature then appeared at Cryodivus' arm, its teeth sinking deep into his flesh. He winced and swung at it with his free hand, just in time for the creature to disappear again. It reappeared near his leg, biting into his calf. Cryodivus kicked at it, but the creature was gone once again.
The creature then appeared behind him, it teeth grazing one of his wings. He tried to swat it with the wing, but disappeared yet again.
He then saw the creature blink a few times in the center of the room, breathing heavily. Cryodivus saw his clone throwing ice shards at the creature, and saw his arm bleeding, light blue-colored blood frosting the ground over where the droplets fell. He gripped his sword tightly, and formed a few simple bandages of ice to stop the bleeding. He simply eyed the beast, waiting for its reaction to the doppelganger and waiting for its attention to rest there so he could strike again.[/glow]

As soon as the angel leaves the hole Bruno sends notice to set up a force field around the entire high security sector to contain the prisoners and prevent more damage to the room. The angel stopped circling the room and dove at him quickly. with the barrel of his gun already aimed at the blur, Bruno pulled the trigger. a beam appeared between the barrel of the gun and the wall behind Taelryn, about one foot in diameter. the translucent light blue force field that now protected it warped and rippled out wards violently. in truth the beam was just the illusion of the persistence of vision caused by the heavy metal particles that have been sped up within the cannon being shot out of the barrel at incredible speed.

[The Beast]
A few shards of ice sink into the beasts side before it teleports once to face the rain of ice and again to close the distance between him and the being creating it. The beast slams Cryo2 down with its right paw and bites deep into his right shoulder
[Cryo2]
[glow=Blue,2,500]*Suddenly on the ground , He feels the teeth of the beast sink into his skin and imediatly sends as much cold energy as he can through its teeth and into its body.*[/glow]
[The Beast]
*The beast quickly recoils and attempts to dissapear but it only suceeds in teleporting small chunks of himself which imedeatly reapear back in there proper location, leaving it unharmed but looking like it was a TV channel with bad reception. It maneges to shake off the "brain freeze" but stands confused for a number of seconds.*

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus held his sword in both hands, using both his feet and his wings to propel himself toward the beast that was now stunned by the cold that Cryodivus' double had poured into its jaw and face.
Flying toward the creature, Cryodivus aimed for the beast's neck and swung with all his might.[/glow]

Taelyrn's scream was blocked out by the booming explosion that sounded as the air, and a good portion of his left arm, exploded. He figured the man would fire his cannon, but he'd never counted on the thing being so damn fast! Only his own nearly light-speed reflexes kept him from being killed outright, the blast instead striking him in the left arm and a fair portion of his left leg from the knee down.
The only other part of the situation that remotely resembled a saving grace was the bright flash that lit the path of the blast, shedding light on a large part of the room, as well as the wounded Warrior Angel. The light he absorbed went to work at once, speeding up his body's regeneration, leaving him with most of his leg restored, as well as his arm almost down to the elbow.
Gritting his teeth, Taelyrn drained what energy remained in the gem embedded in the pommel of his sword, giving himself at least a whole left leg before bending the light around himself, making himself invisible in the aftermath of the blast. The rest of his arm would have to regenerate with only the ambient light in the room, a task that was hampered by his attempted stealth, but not entirely halted.

*Bruno was satisfied with his shot content that it would supress the resistance in that angel. He then heard the yelp of the best he had set on the others. After seeing the resposible party and the fact that the beast had blinked out, he quickly aimed and fired the other charged cannon at Cryo. The blast again shook the force field on the walls of the room, but they continued to hold.*

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus seemed to teleport unintentionally, his back slamming with an astonishing amount of force against the force field behind him. The impact caused a ripple in the force field, which seemed to right itself after the original wave.
Cryodivus looked down to see his rib cage caved in in a one-foot diameter circle, bright blue blood pouring out of the myriad breaks in his skin. He fell to his knees, then managed to catch himself with his hands, down on all fours. He tried to catch his breath, but breathing in caused him an incredible amount of pain.
His arms turned to jelly, and he fell on his stomach, which solicited a gasp of agony. He managed to roll over onto his side, allowing himself to recover from the injuries he had sustained before even knowing they had occured.[/glow]

*bruno kept one gun pointed at Cryo and the other pointed up slightly to deal with other threats, both charging.*
"Now, i hope i have demonstrated the seriousness of the situation. i will give you one last chance to explain yourself completely. I will then tell you what needs to happen next, and you will listen. you are getting off easy. i fear for your friends. Gyro, who is dealing with them now, is not as compationate as i am."

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus lifted himself onto all fours, using his wings to help support his weight until his strength returned.
"The woman you captured," Cryodivus huffed as his chest slowly began to heal, "has been chosen to become an angel. We had begun the process of transferring her new power to her when you and the smaller man with the gun stole her in the middle of the ritual."
Using his wings for additional support, Cryodivus managed to get to his feet. "We are trying to get her back so we can finish the process. What we have begun cannot be undone, and her power cannot be given to another. We have to finish what we have begun. It is divine mandate."[/glow]

"Divine mandate. what a load of shit."
*bruno spoke almost under his breath, looking downfor just a moment and then looked directly at Cryo.*
"i have seem plenty of 'gods' in my day, and to tell you the truth, they piss me off. they are always some smart ass with alot of power and a nack for exagerating. sending there followers, whom are as good as slaves, to do whatever thay want. so what 'god' is yours?
And as for the girl, she will be returned, so long as you and your friends leave. i cant believe that youve gotten away with as much as you have. ill tell Gyro to back off so they have a chance, but he doesnt always listen to me. thats the best i can do for you. you really are 'blessed' to get that much."

*Jay sat against the wall, debating whether he wanted to get in on the action, but considering what he had been through with tobias and that he understood what it ment to be on the IDPD's turf, he decided to cut his losses and get away with his life. Jay stood up and sprinted toward the portal once he heard Bruno start his God speach. He gave one piece of advice before jumping through the portal to the field.*
"I'd listen to him, you cant beat them here."

Taelyrn landed quietly next to Cryodivus, coming out of hiding as he did so. The healing of his arm sped up, but whatever relief he might have felt about this was overtaken by his frustration at the situation.
Looking at Cryodivus, however, he realized how badly the demigod was faring. There was some comfort in knowing that at least the God of Ice couldn't be truly killed here, but the same could not be said for himself.
He didn't like the position he was in, and he liked his decision even less, but he had to do what was best for the girl, and getting himself killed while trying to rescue her, no matter how inspirational his death, wasn't it. Least of all when the people they'd been fighting promised to return her should they just go home.
Stepping closer to the elder Warrior Angel, Taelyrn spoke softly. "When He made me into a Warrior Angel, I promised Him I'd look after the girl. I can do that just as well from Heaven as I can from Etrah. I hate to put it on your shoulders, but it's your call. I'll follow you, whatever you decide."

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodvus looked at Taelyrn, then down at himself. His chest was mostly healed, but he had been seriously injured all the same. This was their territory, and they obviously had great control over what did and did not happen. He and Taelyrn had fought valiantly, but with Bruno giving them a peaceful option to get what they wanted, there was no need for more fighting.
"We accept your terms," Cryodivus told Bruno, his sword seeming to melt in his hand, becoming no more than a puddle on the floor. "We will leave this place. I have your word that she will be returned to us, alive?" he asked, extending his hand to the gigantic man to seal the accord with a handshake.[/glow]
