Darzul entered the base, and walked into the command center. He paged Apek, who found him there after about 5 minutes.
"What did you learn at the hospital?" Apek asked.
"Jack shit," Darzul replied. "They turned him loose hours ago, he could be anywhere."
"He probably hasn't moved from wherever he went after the hospital," Apek said. "Riskan wanted to contact him, which I assume he's still planning to do. Basic's done for the day in 1900 hours, so we'll just wait for him to call his brother then."
Darzul nodded. "Okay, perfect," he said. "Let's head to the officers' club."

Darzul and Apek left the officers' club, chuckling softly to themselves.
"Okay, let's go find Riskan," Darzul said, smiling. "Risk-a-dink-a-doo, and his brother, too," he said, breaking into fresk snickers.
Apek joined in immediately. He then looked at his watch, and his face became more serious. "Oh, shit, it's 1920," he said. "Dammit, I knew we shouldn't have smoked that blunt with Cornelius."
Darzul simply shrugged. "He just got promoted to captain," he said. "We celebrated with him, no big deal. Besides, class dismissed 20 minutes ago. I'm sure Riskan hit the showers and changed fatigues after 12 hours with Draco. He's probably just getting to the phone now."
The two walked to the pay phones in the south barracks, and waited for Maku to show. After 20 minutes, the pair gave up, and headed for his quarters to see if they could find him there. After 10 minutes talking with his bunkmate, they learned they had somehow missed him on ther way up here, while Riskan left his room to place a call.
Darzul and Apek promptly headed back downstairs, to find the phones empty. One of the receivers was now a jagged earpiece dangling from the cord, the microphone totally obliterated.
"Yeah, Riskan's definitely been here," he said, looking at the remains of the phone.
Darzul glared angrily at the broken equipment. "Does he know how expensive those receivers are?" he muttered, but simply headed to the command center to check the phone records.
After a few minutes, outgoing calls from the south barracks pay phones between 1940 and 1950 hours were isolated in the Vorcan Army phone records. Three had been made within the window; one to a Ricky's Grilled Goodness on the east side, one to a private residence a few blocks south of the hospital, and one to the home loan office of a bank.
"It's the house," Apek told Darzul. "Riskan gave his brother directions, I wasn't paying very close attention but I do remember him saying to go to a house south of here."
"Well, I didn't think he was hiding out at RGG's," Darzul commented. "And wouldn't that have been useful information earlier?" he asked, scribbling down the address and heading for the garage.
"There's a lot south of the hospital," Apek replied. "Either way, we found the place. Let's go talk to this kid, see what he's all about."
The two got into an SUV, and headed toward Inor's house.
