Name: Self-Contained Replication Autonomous Prototype
Age: Approx. 5,000
Height: 6'10"
Weight: 1,200 lbs
Looks: SCRAP is a tall, lanky humanoid, seemingly made out of solid steel. However, he is actually made out of trillions of microscopic robots, called nanites, which are the source of his abilities. He is bald, and his 'face' is expressionless, with only dimly lit golden orbs representing eyes, and a flat line simulating a mouth.
Weapons: SCRAP carries no physical weapons, but is more than capable of using its heavy metallic limbs in lieu of traditional weaponry. In addition to the obvious melee abilities, the nanites of which he is comprised can generate pulses of sonic energy of varying frequencies, which can be debilitating to most organisms, as well as solid structures.
Abilities: Regeneration using nearby metals, adaptive AI (learns from observation), sonic pulse generation.
History: SCRAP was created by an entity called the Machine God almost 5,000 years ago as a prototype infantry unit for it's Machine Army. The prototype was programmed to assume a humanoid form, under the condition that it had access to enough base material to do so. The strength of the prototype was that the 'base material' required was metal, of nearly any kind.
While initial tests were promising, the program was cut short by the destruction of the Machine God and its army by Visignis, son of Pyrodeus. The prototype survived due to the location of the research facility, nearly a mile below the ground.
Activated by an emergency transmission from the Machine God, the prototype was given a Prime Directive: kill Visignis. The prototype generated a miniscule sonic pulse strong enough to break its magnetic containment system, and began to feed on the metal of its storage unit, building other robots, called nanites, like itself.
Over the years, the mass of nanites grew, doubling constantly, while simultaneously burrowing up through a mile of once-molten rock. Finally, the nanites emerged, assembling into their programmed humanoid form.
Using data from the Machine God's last transmission, the prototype, called the Self-Contained Replication Autonomous Prototype, or SCRAP, turned until it was facing the direction of Visignis' home. And then, it began to walk.
