The world around the Forge seemed to grow brighter for a moment, a change almost imperceptible to human eyes. The moment ended almost immediately, and a minute or so later, a gray-cloaked figure slowly made its way up the mountainside. He looked up, seeing his destination, marked by a large, chromed statue. Looking upon the statue, he smiled.
My, my. I wonder how long that took you, Pyrodeus? It's only been a week since Taelyrn's sacrifice.
Finally reaching the plateau upon which the statue rested, the gray-cloaked figure sat upon a nearby rock, appearing to catch his breath. Looking closely at the details of the statue, the figure whistled softly.
I must say...the attention to detail is amazing! I must remember to complement you on this, when I get the chance.

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus saw a momentary glow beneath the Forge doors, which disappeared as promptly as it had appeared. Then, silence. Perfect silence, which was usually a bad omen.
Pyrodeus barely heard a soft whistle, and knew the Forge was being watched. Maybe one of Baalaose's cohorts wanted to duel with him. Well, if that was the case, he would give them every reason to regret that decision.
"Visignis, get that fancy new hand of yours ready," he said, opening the Forge doors.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis' hand and bracer rings stretched out without his arm moving, and drew his sword before locking into place.
His father opened the doors, and he looked outside. Near Pyrodeus' statue of Taelyrn, a figure sat, obscured almost completely by a light gray cloak.
Visignis looked at the figure. "Who are you?" he asked. "What brings you to this Forge?"[/glow]

The cloaked figure raised his head at the sound of the Forge's doors opening. An unseen smile crept across his face, and he stood, the sunlight glinting off of the metal discs on his cloak. He gestured to the statue.
"Well, I was just passing by, and I noticed the sunlight shining off of this statue. I've traveled through these parts before, and I've never seen anything like this. I decided to take a closer look."
Lowering his arm and turning his attention back to the statue, the cloaked figure walked up to it, placing a hand on the base upon which Taelyrn stood.
"However, coming closer, it would seem that the statue itself is not what interests me. Rather, it is that sword that has drawn me here, I think."

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus smiled. "It's one of my original works," he said. "It was wielded by Taelyrn, the man depicted by that statue."
His smile faded. "He was martyred recently," Pyrodeus said. "Hence the statue. All that remained was the sword, so I placed it in the hand of his statue as a show of respect."[/glow]

The gray figure nodded, slowly walking towards the other two on the plateau.
"It is a most fitting tribute. However, I'm going to have to ask you to relinquish the sword to me. The sword should be with its rightful owner."

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus' sword appeared. "It will be," he said, "when I take it to Heaven and give it to Taelyrn. None other shall touch that sword."[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis tossed his sword from his right hand to his left. His burning hand retracted into his bracer, and the seams began to glow red as Visignis charged a fireball.
He pointed the end of the bracer at the cloaked stranger like a cannon, the inside of the 'barrel' glowing brightly.
"If you touch that sword, you'd better be fireproof," Visignis told the stranger.[/glow]

The cloaked figure stood perfectly still, looking upon Pyrodeus from the darkness of his hood. After a moment of tense silence, he spoke.
"Methinks you need not go so far as Heaven, Pyrodeus. The sword is mine, and I shall claim it, with your permission, or without."
Turning his attention to Visignis, he spoke again. "And you, Visignis. It would be best for us all if your fire stayed where it is. A fight with either of you would surely involve the other, and I refuse to take arms against another Warrior Angel, or his blood."

[glow=red,2,500]"What do you mean, another Warrior Angel?" he asked. "There are only two of us. Have you battled Cryodivus?" he asked, dumbfounded.[/glow]

Answering Pyrodeus first, the stranger replied, "There are 3 of 'us', Pyrodeus. I have not fought Cyrodivus, nor do I intend to. Such a battle would leave me scattered across existence in frozen, slowly-melting pieces. Just as a battle with you would most likely result in my unplanned cremation. After Tresdos, we cannot afford to spend time battling our brothers."
Turning his attention back to Visignis, he spoke once more. "And I know more than you think, Visignis. I bring apologies about your hand, from the one who severed it."

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus was rattled with all this talk of Warrior Angels. The stranger had said 'us'. But that didn't make any sense. There were only five archangels, and each had made a Warrior Angel already.
But remember, for every Warrior Angel made by angelic hands, there was a counterpart made by God, Pyrodeus thought to himself. Azrael's Angel of Darkness had never had a counterpart. Pyrodeus then took a closer look at the metal disks holding on the stranger's cloak. They appeared to be white gold, and they bore a star with angelic wings.
Pyrodeus grinned. There was a tenth now.
"Welcome to my Forge, Warrior Angel of Light," he said.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis' jaw dropped. Another Warrior Angel? A living one? Visignis couldn't claim to know everything of Pyrodeus or his brothers, but he knew Warrior Angels didn't just drop out of the sky.
The man's apology on Taelyrn's behalf was also unsettling. This guy knew a lot, and seemed not to wish for Visignis to know much of anything.
Screw that, Visignis thought to himself.
"Who are you?" Visignis finally asked. Knowing full well he wouldn't get a straight answer, his right hand lashed out toward the stranger's cloak to remove it.[/glow]

A white tendril, seemingly made of solid light, shot out from under the man's cloak, wrapping around the wrist of Visignis' hand. A moment later, 7 others emerged, spreading from the back of the cloak, 4 on each side.
Reaching up to the hood of his cloak, the man muttered, "My, my. I don't remember you being so impulsive, Visignis." With that, he pulled back his hood, and revealed himself.
[glow=white,1,500]Taelyrn stood before them, a Warrior Angel, and alive.[/glow]
