[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus saw the android's arm turn into a hammer. Once he swung at Visignis, who managed to dodge and even counterattack before the creature swung again, Visignis managing to catch the hammer but also being bogged down badly by it. Between the pelting of semi-melted bullets he had endured earlier and his awkward stance, Visignis likely couldn't hold it for long.
Not that he would have to. Pyrodeus bolted toward the machine, and dove at him in a flying tackle.[/glow]

[glow=gray,50,300]Suddenly, the robot pulled his hand back, shaping it back to its previous form, rather than the hammer. Without paying much attention to his surroundings, he began pacing, talking to himself. "Mhm... Yep... Nope... You're joking... Yeah? Well, fuck you, Steve! Why do you always get in the way of my fun!? ... Fine. Open it up." A portal opened the instant he stopped walking, and he held a metallic hand toward it. "I've been informed that you are all free to leave. This portal leads back to the place you came from, and it only goes one way. It will close once I see that all three of you have passed through safely." As he went on, it sounded more and more as though he was reading it off a list. "Your friends have already left. You're coming here was in vain. We'll return the girl to you unharmed. Yaddah... Yaddah... Yaddah..." He paused for a moment. "Wait... You came here for a girl? And here I thought they were throwing me a surprise birthday party." He mumbled a question about when his birthday actually was. "Right, then. Off you go. We've got important things to do here, so stop wasting our time."[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus stopped in midair when he saw Gyro relent, then begin a conversation. Whether he was talking to a real person over a radio, or a voice in his head, Pyrodeus could only speculate.
A portal then opened, and Gyro regurgitated a rehearsed speech. culminating in a claim that the girl, presumably the one Taelyrn had brought them here to retrieve, would be released to them unharmed.
"Just like that?" Pyrodeus said aloud, largely to himself. He then shrugged; if it was true, then they had caught a break, their first since coming here. If not, at least they could recoup and strategize before trying another rescue mission.
Pyrodeus looked at the portal. Somewhat reluctant to put his interdimensional travel in hands besides his own, he gingerly stepped through.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]The moment the hammer was no longer threatening to crush him, Visignis heaved a sigh of relief. He heard some kind of yammering by the robot, but that was secondary.
Visignis rose, and walked toward Viviana, who was still standing at the ready - for the most part. He reached out to help her stand.[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana draped an arm over Visignis' shoulder, grateful to have a crutch until she had time to sleep off this feeling of having been hit by a tank.
Still largely purple with bruising, Viviana hobbled toward the portal with Visignis' help. She had seen Pyrodeus go through it, which had led her to believe that it was safe.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis smiled at Viviana as the two approached the portal. In spite of her widespread bruising, there was definitely something about her, something different. Visignis couldn't pinpoint what it was, but he liked it.
He took one last look at Gyro before he and Viviana entered the portal. "I hope our paths don't cross again," he told the automaton before walking through the portal with his wife.[/glow]
