[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus looked at the IDPD liason. "The portals we use for teleportation are perfectly safe," he told the man. "They are stabilized by magic, and we've used them for thousands of years, on this plane and others. They are every bit as harmless as the ones you have made with your science. So what makes you think they are the cause of the problem?"
He paused in thought for a moment before adding, "What makes you think there is a problem with this plane?"[/glow]

*A quick breath A pause a confused look*
"wow.....um, OK. i was informed you guys were the authority here. We obviously were mistaken. There are holes everywhere. have you not been to the lake of forest areas? I mean, you have to know that another dimension literally fell into this one! you need only to look to the sky to see the devastation.
I have not stated anything about your teleportation being a cause of anything. It may have worked for thousands of years in a stable environment, but that is not what this is. You are working in a very wounded place, and wounds are prone to infection and complications that would not arise in other situations. you are in for some serious surprises if you do not take what is happening seriously. I must now return now and research what information we have on this place more. I will have to find someone who can look at the situation logically or we will send people in to do it. we do not wish to lose this place or others. I hope your home is important enough for you to be careful and swallow your pride for only a moment, just in case you are wrong. My heart goes out to you, for I have very little hope.

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus' face shifted to a look of concern. He turned to look at Cryodivus.
"He must be talking about the breaking of Heaven," he said. "I had never even considered the impact that could have on Etrah, or any other planes, for that matter."[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]"But how could they know about that?" Viviana asked, looking between Pyrodeus and Cryodivus. "These guys aren't dead, and they aren't angels. How could they possibly be monitoring the status of Heaven?"[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,500]"How they know is irrelevant," Cryodivus brusquely interjected. "What matters is that the IDPD does know."
He paused for a moment, and glared at the messenger out of the corner of his eye. "And if our previous encounters are any indication," he said, his gaze now retuning to the others in the Forge, "they will likely...intercede," he said.
"In any case, we should keep teleporting to a bare minimum, as a precautionary measure, until we find and repair the rifts on Etrah. Heaven is still far from perfect, but it has been stabilized. We can now afford to focus our efforts here."[/glow]

Post by Taelyrn on Feb 17, 2010 2:05:28 GMT -6
[glow=gray,2,500]Taelyrn sighed. In all honesty, the only thing he wanted was for the messenger to leave. Now, however, it seemed the man had gone beyond the rehearsed message he'd been sent with, and had taken it upon himself to knock the eldest Warrior Angels down a few pegs.
Despite his frustrations, in the long run, he knew the hinted offer of friendship the man had mentioned was far from a bad idea. Stepping forward, Taelyrn thought fast, and hoped he could hold most of his disdain for the IDPD at bay.
"Everybody take a breath, alright? First off," he turned to face the messenger, "we're not some dumb yokels, okay? We don't know so much of the big picture compared to the IDPD, but our experience hasn't warranted it before this. When it comes to Earth, Etrah, Heaven, or Hell, we know our way around. Beyond that, our experience is a tad limited."
"And second..." Taelyrn continued, turning his attention to Cryodivus, and then the rest of the group, "until this is all sorted out, cooperation on both sides is going to make everybody's lives a whole lot easier. All our interactions with the IDPD before this were based on a misunderstanding, and a bad call on my part. You want details, ask me later."
"Right now, two things matter to all of us: 1, we finish what we began with Leyra, tie up those loose ends, and 2, we do whatever we can to not only stabilize our world, but repair the damage that's been done."
Turning to face the messenger again, Taelyrn extended a hand towards the man. "Speeches aside, you have my deepest personal thanks for returning Leyra to us. As far as we're concerned, she's already family. And if I might give you a message in return..."
Glancing over his shoulder at those assembled in the Forge, Taelyrn allowed himself a small sigh. Turning back, he continued. "If there is ever something we can do to assist the IDPD in protecting Etrah, Earth, and any of the other worlds of Creation, we will do our best to help."[/glow]

*The man smiles slightly*
"it is not your lack of knowledge that worries me, its the arrogance that can come with large quantities of it"
*He holds out his hand and shakes Taelyrn's*
"I must inform you that this hand shake means little. I am in fact just a messenger, but i will pass it on."
*The smile on the mans face grows a little larger as he lets go and turns around, pressing some buttons on his wrist as he does so. A portal opens and he walks through it, not looking back. It promptly closes.*

[glow=blue,2,500]As the IDPD messenger left, the temperature within the Forge dropped by ten degrees. Cryodivus turned and looked at Taelyrn, clearly livid.
"You forget your place, Angel of Light," Cryodivus told him, anger heavy in his voice despite his steady volume. "You came to us so that we might help rescue Leyra from these people. We follow you on your mad crusade, suffering severe personal injury in the process, and owing to a miracle we managed to escape their inner sanctum."
"All of this pain was for naught, however," Cryodivus continued, his voice becoming slightly louder, "considering Leyra was brought back here independent of our struggles. And now, despite the IDPD's interference with a sacred ritual, kidnapping of our fellow angel, and their treading on this hallowed ground, you welcome them with open arms?"
"And further," Cryodivus added, the Forge doors slamming shut at his sunconscious behest, "you offer them our assistance in their endeavors? Who do you think you are!?"[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]"That is enough, Cryodivus," Pyrodeus finally interjected. "Taelyrn is just as much a Warrior Angel as you or I, and has as much right to speak as either of us."
"We are all well aware of the mistakes we made on our journey to Haven, but what's done is done. Taelyrn's willingness to admit fault and offer peace is admirable," Pyrodeus said, looking at Taelyrn. "Your actions showed a wisdom I was, frankly, unaware you possessed. Well done," he added, smiling thinly.
Pyrodeus then turned back to Cryodivus, his smile quickly fading. "But I am a bit surprised at you, brother," he said. "You never thought twice about following Taelyrn into battle, but you hesitate when he tries to lead us into a truce?"
Pyrodeus paused briefly. "Besides, from a purely logical standpoint, the IDPD is a headache we simply don't need right now. They make a formidable foe, but they could also prove a powerful ally. At the very least we don't need them actively working against us. We have enough problems with Heaven, Hell, and Etrah. We certainly don't need to import any from Haven or anywhere else."[/glow]

Post by Leyra on Feb 18, 2010 2:24:46 GMT -6
Leyra watched quietly as Taelyrn spoke up, blushing slightly as he thanked the man for escorting her back to Etrah. It was short-lived, however, as her surprise at Taelyrn's offer and Cryodivus' subsequent reaction set in. As Pyrodeus reprimanded Cryodivus and commended Taelyrn, Leyra moved to Taelyrn's side, resting a hand on the shoulder of the silent Warrior Angel.
As she turned her eyes on Cryodivus, her thoughts of Taelyrn were eclipsed by her borderline anger at the quasi-deity. Taelyrn had only tried to calm the situation, and had successfully brought a potential argument to an end before it could truly begin, and what thanks did he get? None whatsoever, not from the ice-blue angel before her. Instead, Cryodivus saw fit to remind the younger angel of his mistakes, and accuse him of betraying his own.
Her eyes narrowing, Leyra's frustration rapidly turned to anger. Who was Cryodivus to accuse Taelyrn? He wasn't even a proper god, just a powerful angel who'd lost touch with most of Creation over the past 8000 years, and thought himself superior for it. Right then, all she wanted was for the would-be-God of Ice to go away.
The single chain links on her still-intact wrist cuffs jingled briefly as her eyes flickered into a blue-orange, then faded back to brown-black as she swayed and fell, her hands balled into fists and pressed against her temples. Her entire world was being overtaken by a blinding, burning, stabbing pain that radiated out from her head, and through the rest of her body.

[glow=gray,2,500]Taelyrn's shocked silence at Cryodivus' reaction came to a sudden halt as Leyra stumbled and fell. Accelerating himself briefly, Taelyrn caught the falling woman, and was gripped with panic as he saw the pained expression on her face.
Striding away from the demigods, Taelyrn moved past Visignis and Viviana to place Leyra on the table in the Forge's center. Shrugging off his cloak, he folded it into a makeshift pillow, and slid it into place under Leyra's head.
"Look, can we do this later? Something's happening to Leyra, and if it's what I think it is, we need to finish changing her before she gives the IDPD a reason to test just how impenetrable those doors really are!"
Locking his eyes on the chest that held the Seals and weapons of the fallen Warrior Angels, Taelyrn willed the thing to open. The moment the lid began to move, Taelyrn was there, his hand shooting in to grab the Seal of Nocticertus from where he'd left it last.[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]"As soon as the ritual is over, we should tell them," Viviana whispered into Visignis' ear. "I think the whole group could use some good news right now."
"Okay, then, let's get started," Viviana said aloud as she left Visignis' side and walked toward the table.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis nodded at Viviana's suggestion. She was right; everyone, but especially Cryodivus, seemed to be in desperate need of a morale boost. Hopefully their news would supply that.
He walked toward the table, and stood next to Viviana, prepared to do his part.[/glow]
