Leyra couldn't hide her grin at Pyrodeus' greeting. She felt better than she could ever remember, physically and emotionally, and it showed. "Thank you, Pyro." Looking around, she kept her smile.
"And Cryo, and Vis, and Viv, and Taelyrn...thank you, guys...I don't know what else to say..." she admitted, blushing slightly. The pinkish hue on her cheeks was blatantly obvious in contrast to her pale skin.

[glow=purple,1,800]"Viv?" Viviana chimed in, playful exasperation in her voice. "First Visignis, and now you, Leyra?"
Viviana chuckled, slightly perturbed. "You guys are gonna drive me nuts."[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus bristled almost imperceptibly at Leyra's informal moniker, but said nothing in protest.
"Welcome to the fold, Leyra," he said, the corners of his mouth curling upward, but not quite enough to be called a smile.
He then looked at Taelyrn. "And I feel I may have overreacted with my...outburst earlier," he told Taelyrn sheepishly. "Perhaps I am the one who has forgotten my place. Pyrodeus was right; you are every bit the Warrior Angel I am. I simply find this entire IDPD situation, the helplessness of it all, infuriating..." Cryodivus added, a faint chill noticeable in the Forge once more.
"But that is no excuse," he added. "Perhaps it is time I afforded you the proper respect, as my equal and not my subordinate."[/glow]

[glow=gray,2,500]Taelyrn's smile at Leyra's successful transformation widened as she stood, and thanked the others. Part of the smile was due to the nicknames she'd given the others. He held back a laugh at Viviana's reaction, but his mirth faded as Cryodivus began to address him.
As he spoke, however, Taelyrn was surprised. An apology was certainly the last thing he'd ever expected to hear from the elder Angel. "I take no offense, Cryodivus. I am just as frustrated as you at the IDPD's ability to...handle...our attempts at infiltrating them, although I can't imagine how much worse it must be for you and Pyrodeus, as powerful as the two of you are."
"I did what I did because I felt I needed to set things right. This whole mess could have been avoided if I'd simply gone in with Leyra in the first place. Instead, I followed my gut instead of thinking things through, and, if you'll forgive my language, it came back to bite us in the ass something fierce. For my part, I owe all of you an apology. As much as it bothers me to admit it, one was owed to the IDPD as well, and thankfully, I've gotten that over with."
Glancing at Leyra, Taelyrn allowed himself to smile again. "For now, we're all here. This family of ours has grown again, and, at the risk of sounding presumptuous, we've finally got some peace and quiet. For that, I couldn't be more thankful."[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]Viviana listened to Cryodivus' apology. She was almost as surprised as Taelyrn to hear it. As she listened to Taelyrn's response to the ender angel, specifically the phrase about their growing family, she decided this was a perfect time to tell everyone.
"As long as everybody is here, I have some good news," she said, looking around the Forge. A smile immediately began to creep on her face, growing only broader with time. "You were right about our family growing, Taelyrn," she said, looking at him. "Maybe more so than you knew."
She then looked at all of the others in the Forge, still beaming. "I'm pregnant," she told them. "With twins," she added, her voice squeaking ever-so-slightly with excitement at the second sentiment.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus' face changed to a look of astonished joy as he heard Viviana's declaration of being with child - or, rather, children.
"That's amazing!" he said, laughing aloud. "Twins?" he also managed to utter, still stunned. "Congratulations!" he happily declared. "To both of you," he added, looking at both Viviana and Visignis.[/glow]

Leyra blushed again as Taelyrn smiled at her. She couldn't help herself. Since they'd first met, he'd been saving her, or protecting her, or trying to rescue her. Now there was finally peace, and she felt her heart race at the thought of having the chance to actually get to know him.
Then, Viviana dropped her bombshell, and Leyra's mind jumped the tracks it had been on. As she turned to face Viviana, Leyra couldn't hide her girlish grin. As if on cue, her hookswords and the chains attached to them dissipated into black mist, and Leyra quickly approached the expectant mother.
At a loss for words, Leyra simply threw her arms around Viviana, pulling the other woman into a hug. After a moment, she stepped back, but caught Viv's hands in her own. Holding them tightly, Leyra's grin grew, and she lost what composure she'd maintained, jumping excitedly as she laughed aloud.

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus couldn't help but chuckle as he saw the expectant mother and the Angel of Darkness celebrating the news.
He simply walked over to Visignis, smiling, and shook his hand. "Congratulations, Visignis," he said.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis shook Cryodivus' hand only briefly before pulling the God of Ice in for a hug. "Thank you, Cryodivus."
He then released the elder angel from his embrace, smiling. "You watched over me while God kept me a secret from my father. Viviana and I talked it over the past few days, and we'd love for you to keep the tradition going. Would you be the godfather of one of our children? Whichever twin is born first, specifically."
He then looked at Taelyrn. "And we'd like for you to be the godfather of the twin born second, Taelyrn."[/glow]

[glow=gray,2,500]Taelyrn's jaw dropped slightly. As he made his way around the squealing, jumping women, his expression changed into a broad grin. He clapped a hand onto Visignis' shoulder, letting out a brief laugh as he did.
"It would be an honor, Visignis."[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis smiled at the two Warrior Angels. "Thank you both," he said. He then sighed contentedly. "After what we've all been through, I'm glad the toughest decisions I have to make right now involve my family."
He chuckled. "It's too easy to forget that when we're not fighting some unspeakable dark force, that we are capable of simply taking time to enjoy the life we work so hard to preserve. We don't do it often enough, and quite frankly, we've earned it."[/glow]

[glow=gray,2,500]Taelyrn smilled, his hands dropping to his sides. Absentmindedly, he hooked his thumbs into the belt loops of his jeans. Turning towards Leyra and Viviana, his smile broke into a full grin. "I know exactly what you mean. Even now, there's this voice in the back of my mind, urging me to cut this short, pull her aside and start her training as soon as possible. That part of me knows all too well that this could end at any moment."
With a sigh, Taelyrn's grin faded. "But you know what? I can't bring myself to do it. She's so new to all of this, but already she's been through so much. The thought of keeping her from even the smallest happiness after that...it damn near breaks my heart. And this is no small happiness."
"We're Warrior Angels. Fighting is in our name, in our instincts, in our blood. Heaven knows we have ample opportunity to do it. But moments like this? Happiness like theirs? They come too rarely to pass up. For once, our work can wait for another day. For now, for this day, we have all the reason we could need to celebrate. And I don't plan to waste a moment."[/glow]
