[glow=gray,2,500]Returning to the table with the Seal in hand, Taelyrn shook off the nausea caused by touching the artifact. Leyra still had her fists pressed to her temples, and he could see her chest rising and falling rapidly in response to the pain she was experiencing.
Wasting no time, Taelyrn moved the Seal over her heart, and the small artifact seemed to leap from his hand to Leyra's chest. As soon as the Seal had come to rest, he began channeling his energy into it as a beam of pure white light shot from the palm of his hand into the Seal.
Let this work...please God, let this work...[/glow]

The second the Seal pulled itself to her chest, Leyra's pain dulled, and tightly-clenched fists loosened. As the three Warrior Angels began to feed their energy into the Seal, the pain began to fade even more, and her arms slowly fell to her sides.
Her breathing remained rapid as her body responded to the transformation it was undergoing, but as the Seal absorbed the energy being fed into it, every cell of her body was being infused with the essence of Darkness, erasing her powers to set the stage for the rest of the transformation.

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis' fiery hand reached out for the seal, shifting from a hand to a jet of flame flowing from his bracer.
He smiled as he saw Leyra seem to relax. Must be working, he thought to himself as he continued to feed energy into the seal.[/glow]

As Visignis and Viviana added their energies to the power streaming into the Seal, the artifact's appearance changed, from a dark, dull black stone to a polished obsidian. A dark mist seeped out from its edges, flowing over Leyra, and black shapes could be seen sliding beneath the mist.
As the mist flowed across her, Leyra slowly lifted off the table, the mist spreading until her body was shrouded in it. It gathered over the Seal, around her wrists, and behind her shoulders. Then, the shrouded mist over the Seal smoothed out, and the Seal was no longer visible on Leyra's chest.
A ripple flowed through the rest of the mist, sending a brief recoil through the still-flowing, but now-unnecessary energies, and with a long gasp from Leyra, the mist began to flow into her, her mouth, her nose, her eyes, her ears, soaking into her skin everywhere else, revealing pale, ashy-white skin in its wake. As the mist passed through her clothes, the fabric changed, her faded jeans turning black, and her shirt turning to a dark grey.
The concentrated mist around her wrists coalesced, transforming the dull gray metal bands into polished black steel. A thin cord-like chain, formed of the same shining black metal, formed from the single chainlink on the bands, and shot out to the bundle that still held the hookswords that once belonged to Tresdos. With a soft clink, the chains bonded to the swords, and the weapons were pulled back to the table, where they rested just out of Leyra's reach.
Finally, all that remained were the masses of blackness around Leyra's shoulders, and these rapidly collapsed and coalesced. Her back arching, the focused darkness shot into her shoulders, before flowing outwards into six long, angular tendrils, three on each side.
With a nearly inaudible sigh, Leyra floated back down to the table's surface, the rising and falling of her chest finally slowing back down to normal. The Seal was gone, and where a mortal woman from a dead world had been, now rested Leyra, the newly-created Warrior Angel of Darkness.

[glow=gray,2,500]Taelyrn breathed a sigh of relief as Leyra visibly relaxed, and he could only assume that the process had gotten as far as removing her old powers, and the mental strain they had caused. Then, as the transformation began in earnest, Taelyrn could only watch.
As the Seal disappeared, he felt something like an electric shock up through his arm, and immediately closed his fist, cutting off the flow of his energy. It seemed the ritual's need for power had been fulfilled. Leyra's metal wrist-cuffs changed, linking themselves to the hookswords he'd forgotten against the wall in his haste. As her wings formed, Taelyrn immediately noticed their similarity to his own, and couldn't help but smile as Leyra returned to the table's surface.[/glow]

[glow=orange,1,600]Visignis felt what seemed something like a mild electric shock in his bracer, and stopped feeding energy into the seal. He looked on in awe as the ritual progressed, watching the black energy within the seal seep into Leyra's body. He was barely able to step aside in time to avoid the hookswords being pulled toward Leyra by the thin chains which stretched out from the cuffs on her wrists.
He looked at Leyra, and noticed her breathing seemed much more normal. The new Warrior Angel of Darkness was now before him, and he was thankful that the power was in the hands of one more trustworthy than Tresdos.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,500]Pyrodeus ceased the energy flow when he felt a tingling in his wingtips and hands. He looked down at Leyra, and could tell very plainly the ritual was complete.
The process had been quite a spectacle, and didn't appear to be especially pleasant. Pyrodeus was thankful it was over, and was glad to welcome another Warrior Angel to the fold. He felt a pang of sadness that Tresdos had squandered the power while he possessed it, and was glad that Leyra had Taelyrn to help her adjust.[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,500]Cryodivus felt a tingling in his hands, and saw that the seal was no longer visible. He stopped feeding energy into it, and watched the power of the seal cascading into Leyra. He saw the changes that she went through, especially the lashing out and retrieval on her weapons and the growing of wings, similar in form to Taelyrn's but obviously opposite in color.
Cryodivus allowed himself a small sigh of relief. Their mission had been completed.[/glow]

[glow=purple,1,800]When Viviana felt a shock in her ring finger, she ceased her flow of energy. She then watched as the seal seemingly dissolved into clouds of black energy, which immediately flowed into her eyes and mouth as though she were drinking it. Viviana knew what the end result would be, but it didn't make the spectacel any more enjoyable to watch. Watching the color seem to drain from Leyra's skin didn't exactly help, either.
She saw a pair of thin chains shoot from Leyra's wrists, and snag the hookswords that had apparently been Tresdos' weapons while he was the Angel of Darkness. The chains retracted, and the swords lay on the table, near Leyra.
Viviana looked at her as her 'wings', just like Taelyrn's except black, grew from her back. When the entire process had finished, Leyra seemed healthier. All in all, she looked good, despite what looked like a pretty ghastly intake of power.
You clean up pretty good, Viviana thought to herself, smiling thinly.[/glow]

After a few moments, Leyra stirred, her hands opening and closing as she visibly stretched out her muscles. With a slight groan, she pushed herself to a sitting position, raising her arms above her head in a long stretch. The hookswords clanged against the stone table as they were pulled straight up, and dangled for a moment, tapping lightly against her sides.
At the light touches of the metal against her ribs and sides, Leyra couldn't help but smile, stifling a giggle as she lowered her arms back. Running a hand through her hair quickly, Leyra gave her head a quick shake, and opened her eyes. Where her irises had been a dark brown before, they were now a deep midnight purple.
Looking around, Leyra smiled as she turned, swinging her legs over the sides of the table. Shoving off the surface, Leyra's feet hit the ground...and she immediately stumbled. For a moment, she was afraid she would fall, but her hand gripped the table, allowing her to steady herself.
Straightening, Leyra let out a quick laugh as she looked around, scanning the faces in the Forge. They all looked at her, their faces clearly displaying their relief. Leyra gave her head a quick shake, smiling despite herself. "Alright, we can stop staring at the new kid. I'm alright, guys."
